Social Care Practitioner – Enniskillen

Job Description

Care Plus are looking for caring individuals to provide Domiciliary care on a rota basis in the Enniskillen area of Fermanagh. We are looking for Morning to Lunch, teas and bed staff working a 3/4 working pattern which is Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday on Week 1 and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on Week 2 repeating.

We are also looking for Bank staff in the area to help with covering holidays and illness.

To provide care for elderly, disabled and convalescent clients to enable them to remain in their own homes maintaining an independent lifestyle. Excellent opportunity for anyone looking to get into a career in Health and Social Care.

Sample of most common duties (full job description given upon application):

• Helping clients in and out of bed (using hoist if required), washing, dressing and toileting
• Bathing/showering client, Personal Care
• Meal Preparation
• Bed making, laundry duties, shopping
• Assisting with regular exercise (walks) where appropriate
• Record information on service plan sheets
• Provide cover for other carers who are off sick or on annual leave

Essential Criteria:

• Ability to take on a range of personal tasks in accordance with each client's Care Plan
• Ability to work as a team member
• Use of a mobile phone
• Full valid driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
• Willingness to complete Care Certificate or equivalent qualification

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in a caring role
• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
