Social Care Practitioner – Fintona

Job Description

Care Plus require caring individuals to cover Domiciliary care rotas in the Fintona area of Tyrone. We have a block 4/3 morning to lunch & tea rota in the Fintona area.

On our Block rotas you work Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday on Week 1 and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on Week 2 repeating. You will be contracted for a set number of hours each week on this basis.

To provide care for elderly, disabled and convalescent clients to enable them to remain in their own homes maintaining an independent lifestyle.

Sample of most common duties (full job description given upon application):

• Helping clients in and out of bed (using hoist if required), washing, dressing and toileting
• Bathing/showering client, Personal Care
• Meal Preparation
• Bed making, laundry duties, shopping
• Record information on service plan sheets

Essential Criteria:

• Full valid driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
• Ability to work as a team member
• Willingness to complete Care Certificate or equivalent qualification
